Join Stacey for this intarsia method class for our experienced chunky yarn knitters. Intarsia is a method used in knitting at each color change of your project, rather than burning at each color change in your row. It’s great for adding images/logos in the center of your chunky yarn finger knitted blankets.
Here’s what is included in the workshop:

Full support after the workshop with written AND Video instruction, as well as online support.

Introduction to graphing your design. Many other graphed blanket designs available in our online support group.

We will complete a sample sized chunky yarn piece in class, like the snowman head pictured here due to time constraints. This size will take the full 2.5 hours most likely but allow us to finish together for the finishing work created with intarsia, which we can’t do with a full blanket. You will be well equipped to tackle the full blanket once you’ve taken this workshop.

Sample sized piece includes a picture graph and printed instructions, (stitch by stitch count and color for each row)

Full 40”x60” blanket intarsia graph and instructions, row by row, included also.

Yarn provided for the sample made in class.

Yarn for 40”x60” blanket available for purchase at a discount at the time of registration.

Option to do a snowman, “M” for U of M theme, (navy and maize), Michigan State theme, (large “S” in white on dark green), or a heart theme, (gray blanket with pink heart).Join Stacey for this intarsia method class for those that have experience with finger knitting. *!*This is an advanced chunky yarn technique only offered to those that have attended my previous beginner’s blanket class. You must be comfortable with starting and finishing a blanket and the basic knit stitch from the beginner’s class.
Preregistration is required up to the day before the class.
