Join Stacey for this intarsia method class for our experienced chunky yarn knitters. Intarsia is a method used in knitting at each color change of your project, rather than burning at each color change in your row. It’s great for adding images/logos in the center of your chunky yarn finger knitted blankets.
**If you have taken the Beginner’s Finger Knitting Blanket Class, you can do this!! Give it a try, I think you’ll love it!

Here’s what is included in the workshop:
  • We will complete a sample sized chunky yarn piece in class, like the heart pictured here, due to time constraints. This size will take the full 3 hours most likely, allowing us to work together for the finishing work on the front and back. (a full blanket does not allow us to complete the project from start to finish). You will be well equipped to tackle the full blanket once you’ve taken this workshop.
  • If you are familiar with intarsia and would like to start the blanket in the class, you are welcome to do that.
  • Sample sized piece includes a picture graph and printed instructions, (stitch by stitch count and color for each row)
  • Full 40”x60” blanket intarsia graph and instructions, row by row, included also.
  • Yarn provided for the sample made in class.
  • Yarn for 40”x60” blanket can be purchased at checkout.
  • Option to do a paw print, “M” for U of M theme, (navy and maize), Michigan State theme, (large “S” in white on dark green), or a heart theme, (gray blanket with pink heart).
  • Full support after the workshop with written AND Video instruction, as well as online support.

Typically, no cancellations are honored due to costs associated with registration and ordering of class materials. All class materials, including video, will be provided if you must miss class.

This. class will be held at My New Favorite Thing, Canterbury Village 2359 Joslyn Cr. Orion Twp 48360. Feel free to arrive early or stay after class to shop at our unique gift shop featuring thousands of curated items from local crafters.

If your workshop is scheduled on a day when Canterbury Village is hosting a special event, please walk up to the gate and provide your name—you will not be asked to pay an additional fee to attend your scheduled workshop.

Please note: Your workshop registration does not include admission to the Canterbury event itself. If you would like to stay and enjoy the rest of the village after your class, simply visit the front gate to purchase admission for the day.
