Once Upon a Fold…

Every book is a written work of art — but what if the book itself became the art? In this whimsical introduction to book folding, you’ll step into a world where pages transform into shapes, and where every crease tells its own tale.

We’ll explore a variety of folding styles (template, measure/mark/cut/fold, MMCF with cardstock, combi, 180), but in true “Chapter One” fashion, we’ll begin with the simplest fold of all: the line template fold. No cutting required, just 64 little folds — enough to bring a beautiful heart to life right before your eyes. 💖

• You’ll learn the language of this craft (tools, terms, and how to find the heart of your book — literally and figuratively);
• You’ll leave with the skills and tools you need to create more projects;
• And, like any good story, this is just the beginning. More advanced “chapters” of folding await in future classes, where dragons, words, and wonders are waiting in the margins.

This enchanting craft is perfect for ages 12 and up. So whether you come alone, bring a friend, or sign up with your favorite young dreamer, you’ll leave with your very first folded fairytale in hand.

And remember, once you have completed this class you are welcome to “sit in” on any of my future “Intro to Book-folding” classes for free – just let me know to expect you, and I’ll save you a seat!

CANCELLATION POLICY:  Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for no-shows, but those who provide at least 24-hours advance notice by email (infomynewfavoritethingdecor@gmail.com) or telephone (248-802-7384) will receive full credit towards any future class taught by Debbie Sanders.

1. If your workshop is scheduled on a day when Canterbury Village is hosting a special event, please provide your name at the entrance gate — you should not be asked to pay an additional fee to attend your scheduled workshop. If you have any issues, please call the store at 248-802-7384.
2. Your workshop registration does notinclude admission to any scheduled Canterbury Village events. If you would like to stay and enjoy a scheduled event after your class, please visit the front gate to purchase your admission ticket.
