Join us for this fun class where you will create your own custom sign with the names of your loved ones, plus an adorable Valentine’s truck sign. Our instructor will guide you along with step-by-step instructions for you to paint and assemble your projects. No previous painting or crafting experience necessary. All materials provided.
On your custom sign, the maximum number of hearts is 10. You can choose your own personalized words (maximum 5 words). Some examples are: Grandma’s Sweethearts, Smith Family Sweethearts, Grandpa’s Little Loves, Nana and Papa’s Sweethearts. If no personalized words are specified in your registration, your sign will include the words “Our Family of Sweethearts” as pictured. You will choose all paint colors in class, except the hearts which will be pre-painted red with names engraved, as pictured. The measurements of your custom sign will depend on the number of hearts. For example, the sign pictured with 5 hearts measures approximately 8.75” wide x 5.25” high; signs with less than 5 hearts will measure the same; and signs with more than 5 hearts will measure slightly larger. Signs with more than 5 hearts may include two rows of hearts. Our instructor’s judgment will be used to design the best appearance.
The Valentine’s truck measures approximately 7” wide x 4” high. You will choose all your paint colors in class for the truck.
Both projects utilize layers of basswood which measures 1/8” thick. You will have the choice in class to craft your projects into standing or hanging signs.
In the personalize field of your registration, list your choice of words (max 5), and all names (max 10) in the order you want them to appear from left to right (and top to bottom if more than 5 hearts).
Pre-registration is required. We are not able to accommodate walk-ins because the custom signs are made prior to class.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds for this class due to the investment, planning, and scheduling of class. If you are unable to make it to the workshop, your item(s) will be made by the instructor within two weeks and available for you to pick up from My New Favorite Thing.
